Wonder If I Will

Nothing like a bit of white washed brick is there? Just gorgeous.

And I'm loving the encaustic tile counter top in the kitchen. Those tiles have been on my radar for a while now - beginning to wonder if I will regret not having them in the bathroom reno coming up. But I think there will be too many features if I go for these as well.

And that copper light? Serious envy right there.

Something Similar

I really love a look in people's homes that don't seem like they've been styled within an inch of insanity, and this place is one.

Such a great, warm, vintagey family space. And that bathroom is providing me with a few ideas for our up-coming bathroom renovation. I've been pondering the storage options, and seeing that pigeon hole shelf has made me wonder if I couldn't do something similar with a few pieces I have.

And I do love a subway tile. I had ruled them out, because after all my 15 yr old son is doing this bathroom renovation (school project) and I want to go with a tile that is forgiving of a novice tiler, but they're hard to beat for style aren't they.

Good Client

Bathrooms are really catching my eye at the moment. I'm stashing away all sorts of inspiration images for our bathroom reno next year. My 15yr old is going to renovate his bathroom (with hired help for the serious bits like water proofing) for a school project.

And me? I'm going to be trying oh so hard to not let my work brain kick in every two seconds, and be a good client in the back ground and let him get on with it. Well, that's the plan anyway!

I love the bathroom in this home, the white hand cut tiles and the marble top vanity would be very welcome additions.

Sneak In

As if the cold wet weekend didn't bring enough pain, I was sent this amazing home in my inbox - just to mess with my pool-bereavement-head.

Apart from the stunning garden and pool, I really love all of the treatments used here. The crazy paving style slate floors that flow from outside in.

And another slice of craziness is the tiled finish on the external wall. What a clever idea. {Click on the last image for a closer look). I've often thought I'd like to try and sneak in a tiled wall somewhere - internal or external. I love the way it's unexpected outside of the bathroom, it really is cool.

Whole Array

Another fine example of beautiful timber here. I love the aged patina of paint. But not just timber, beautiful tiled floors and floors laid to to brick.

Is there no end to these lovely floors. Do some people have to have the whole array of gorgeous flooring? Just one scraggy bit of carpet, that would make me happy!

Even More

This loft has made it into my inspiration folder for the 60's Splendour because of that bathroom. I'm collecting a small bevvy of images with white tile with black grout. It's really embedding itself in my mind.

But apart from that little detail, the rest of the place is pretty spesh too. Love the white brick and the way it showcases that B + W photograph. Even more inspiration.
