A Room With A View

Everybody loves a room with a view, but this is insane. Imagine living across from the Bilbao Guggenheim. I'm a bit gobsmacked by that view, but the rest of the home isn't anything to sneeze at either.

A stunning mix of contemporary and antique treasures, it has a real gallery feel itself. And seriously loving the design of that bookcase, what a great way to reinvent the everyday.

Rather Beguiling

This is the kind of place that I admire from afar. I don't for one minute believe I could ever reach this elevated level of style and refinement. It's so grown up, and I'm so not!

But the perfection of cream leather, gilding, crystal, lacquer, fur and stainless steel...it's all rather beguiling.

Length And Breadth

Gorgeous soft greys, they can never be overwhelming can they. Some colours, if applied the length and breadth of a home, can be overpowering. But not grey.

Mixed as it is here with some cool industrial pieces, some french chic and amazing architectural antiques...it is anything but too much.

Over Blown

Despite my recent attempts to stream line and reduce clutter, I have to admit, I still love this over blown vintage look.

That caramel tone throughout this lovely pad is rather more-ish too don't you think?

Case of This

Looking through someone's collected treasures is just such a joy. Don't you think? There's usually the travel momentos, the impulse purchases, the hand me downs, and the lovingly curated favourites. We all have them.

But what's even more fabulous is when they gel together as in the case of this lovely loft. A perfect mix of antique, vintage, industrial and modern.

Refined And Stylish

There was a case of déjá vu when I saw this sensational place over at Yatzer. And then it clicked, I've shown you this kitchen before, and the bedroom of this home, many many moons ago. So long ago that I can't find the post to refer back to in my haste to get out the door right now.

In fact there was another great property as well that has been done by the same design group, Dimore Studio, that I've shown you before that I also can't find now {rustic Italian rendered walls and masonry floors}. Perhaps I should start a written ledger for myself to refer to!

My take home inspiration is the large deep sea green canvas. My walls are painted pretty much the exact shade as this home, and that canvas just looks stunning. Oh if only my ceilings were that height too!

I loved the style of this home in Milan when I first saw it a year or so ago, but now that I've finally gotten to see the living space, I'm completely done for. The eclectic but so refined and stylish design of this place just leaves me in awe. Beautifully done.
