It Dawned

Trawling around the ether the other night searching for inspiration, it dawned on me that I hadn't taken a look around Garance's lately.

And oh what loveliness there was. Particularly liked this beautiful pad. Inspiration restored.

An Affinity

Do you ever look at a place and instantly feel an affinity with its owner? Sure, maybe not every detail is how you'd have it, but the sense you gain from a space can tell a lot about it's owner.

And I think this chick and I could really be mates.

Especially Nice

I'm off for a spot of road tripping today with my mate Laura {who btw is a super talented artist and has just started a blog called Rupert Street Digest - please go check her out}.

Hopefully there'll be galleries, vintage shops, cafes and fresh country air galore on our road trip and a few badly sung power ballads thrown in for good measure too.

Feminine And Warm

I never get tired of peeking into ordinary peoples homes and seeing all the little treasures they hold. I love the little hall table in this home and the bedroom is so feminine and warm.

Got a bit spell bound by these lovely treasures over at a store called Tamé by colourblindsmarties. I think it was my competitive side kicking in, you know that part of your brain that when you see a puzzle you have to follow it through and figure it out with a fist punch in the air before anyone else does. Yep, what ev's jules...rambling now!

But do go check them out, they're very cool. But just so you know, I already figured it out.

A Day Or Two

Gloss floors with fur skin rugs and hides are a fabulous contrast that is picked up so well in these images, and a look that I really love.

The other common thread here is an amazing resemblance to my own home - miles of necklaces and jewellery tucked away in all sorts of places. I usually go for big vases or compote dishes holding collections by colour (i swear it makes mornings so much easier!), but the door handles are a storage facility I've yet to take advantage of. But give me a day or two, and that can easily change.

Smidge Obsessed

I'm becoming a smidge obsessed with rings at the moment. I've always fancied a big, knock your socks off ring, but lately I'm really loving the armor rings and other styles that extend down over the middle joint. Vivienne Westwood does a very nice armor ring, the silver ring in the second image is one of hers, and Marc Jacobs does a really nice long silver spiral ring that I'm into also.

And then (and as you can see, it has become a bit obsessive) there's the double finger rings. The knuckle dusters. So many cool examples around of those too. I think one of those could be quite handy for some site meetings. "Whad'ya mean you won't have the gabion walls finished in time eh?"

Anyone else been afflicted yet with a similar obsession? Has it developed into a purchase? Would love to hear about it.
