Tripping Through

This week I just loved these superb images that I saw at Oracle Fox. Seriously cool don't you think. And I seriously need to get myself a mega sequin jacket just like that.

Hope everyone is having a splendid weekend, full of fun and stuff. Thanks for tripping through these parts this week. As always it is pure joy.

And super big thanks to these lovely peeps...

Frocks

I have frocks on my mind at the moment. There's a fancy shmancy awards dinner/gala ball coming up soon for work.

And as is every woman's curse, I have nothing to wear. If I wasn't watching a football game in the rain today, I'd be off shopping for a frock. But for now, these lovely 50's numbers caught my eye.

Oh how fun would it be to go back in time to an era when these darlings graced every girl's wardrobe. There's a gorgeous collection at The Vintage Studio.

Thanks to one and all for your patience and best wishes over the disconnect week. So glad to be back on track again, and looking forward to bringing you some lovely Diversions! Hope you're having a v.cool weekend.

Ageless Style

A new blog love of mine - Advanced Style. If you haven't seen it, you seriously should. The creator of this genius blog, Ari Seth Cohen, says  "respect your elders and let these ladies and gents teach you a thing or two about living life to the fullest."

From the fabulous images I saw on his blog I couldn't agree more. Apart from the timeless and seriously cool styles that can be found, there are some snippets of wisdom from the people featured. One lady's secret to ageing beautifully is "don't take things too seriously, eat well, and dance often". But one that made me snort out loud was "I don't want to stand out, I just want to dress better than anyone else". Gold! Grab a coffee, or a cocktail, and enjoy a wander through. I did.

Well thanks again for the special treat of dropping in this week; and if I may, a little request. To anyone out there in the ether to send positive real estate vibes my way - with any luck there may be good news ahead. But then again, there may not. So anything that can help tip the balance in my favour would be most appreciated!

Special thanks this week to these very cool kids for sending some Diversionary love my way...

So Saturday

So, it's Saturday, it's cold, and I'm sick. The best cure - a bit of vicarious glamour via The Coveteur.

These lovely shots were just what the doctor ordered. And excuse me, but just how stunning are those marble tiles?

Tickled

I'm tickled pink {and turquoise, and grey, and blue} to be guest posting today over at the seriously awesome blog, la la Lovely.

La La Lovely Trina has gone and had her fourth blessed child. Yep, fourth. A-mazing. The sweet little man is called Rocco - do go check them all out. Such a beautiful family!

Note To Self

Loving this look from Dries Van Noten at the moment. That dip dyed jacket has my name all over it, along with the orange nails. {Note to self, stop buying chairs you no longer have any room for, and buy v.cool denim jacket instead!}

I thought I'd also show you the latest reason why I don't have a Dries Van Noten dip dyed jacket right now. This image above is of a painting I picked up in an auction this week. It's by Lilly Napangardi, an Aboriginal artist from the Northern Territory, and it's titled Hail Storm. So mesmerised by it, can't wait to have it home with me.

Hope everyone's had a lovely week and didn't get slammed too hard by the blogger festival of maintenance {yeah, good one}. Thanks heaps for coming by this week, and a massive smooch to these cool people for spreading the fun....

and though this isn't usually my style......this was not so cool!! Take a look here and then HERE, at a blog called Mashmoom. If you're trying to spot the difference, you won't need long. There is none. I get that we all like the same stuff, that's one of the coolest things about blogging - but do we really write exactly the same words - nah not usually. Copy + Paste = Bad Blogger. In my opinion. End of rant.

{{post edit: have just read the couple of comments over at the blog above, you girls are so cool}} {{Wow. Post, post edit: have noticed your comments have been deleted}}

OK, this whole scene gets funnier by the minute. Apart from a daily deletion of the comments this blogger is getting from readers here, she has now changed 3 words in her post. Now you may be able to spot the difference, but you'll have to turn your head on the side and squint your left eye to do so.

Cranking Things Up

I have a thing for scarves and a thing for art, so what could be better than a classically cool combo of both. Fell very quickly for these lovely things by Phillipe Roucou that I found at the Reborn shop.

First week back at work down, surely the next will be easier. Starting to feel more back at home here too, so looking forward to cranking things up to full throttle over the coming weeks.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend if you can. And spare a thought for the people of Queensland who need all the help they can get right now. If you are able to help, here's one option, but there are many.

Please Do

Man, am I glad it's the weekend. Apologies to all my ever so cool mates that I haven't been visiting much of late. I've had the worst flu known to man (well in my little mind it is!), and it's still with me. Nearly four days off work last week hasn't done a lot to help unfortunately. I hope to be back on the rounds and checking out all the cool things you've found very soon, till then, thank you all for dropping in and do have a brilliant weekend.

Special thanks this week to these fabulous peeps.....

and the precious A-M @ The House That A-M Built.
A-M is going through a pretty rough spot right now, if you have a wonderful inspiring quote, song, poem - please do go and share it with her.

Clever Nettle

I love these illustrations by Anja Verdugo of the very cool etsy shop, Clever Nettle. This series of drawings were inspired by a collection f vintage clothes that Anja saw for sale on eBay. The collection was priced out of reach, and so this was the next best way to have them. Beautiful work.

And do check out her v.cool blog too, Anja has a great eye!
