Loving the soft palette of this home. It really sits well with the quiet nature of the furnishings.

 

The spot lighting is perfect for keeping the mood soft. Nothing is too loud, too harsh or too imposing. Just a lovely feel.

What a stunning slice of London this home is. Classic and minimal, two styles that were made to sync.

 

And this place is a brilliant example of it. From the indoor pool to the opulent drapes in the study, every element is strong, classic and understated in its own way.

Homely & Inviting

 

I love how this place demonstrates that less needn't be less. This home is quite sparsely decorated and is very light on in the art department, but it is still quite individual and warm.

 

I think texture is the key. Minimal + texture = homely & inviting.

Front And Centre

This place would go into my category of feel good spaces. Light, gently pulled together, fabulous art, and a completely uncontrived look.

OK, so they have a soft spot for designer lighting, but who doesn't. And I still don't think it's over done.

Favourite bit? That looming charcoal cupboard. Original to the home, it isn't sitting back and being ignored. It's up front and centre along with the cool kids. Love it.

Presence Felt

This artist's home has a look I really like. Open, light and with a shot of texture and colour that softly makes its presence felt.

 The detail of the papered shelving really grabbed my eye. I'm currently playing with the idea of a Moroccan pattern for my entry. I doubt I will ever commit to wallpaper, but maybe  stencilling may make a come back in my repertoire of skills.

That Understanding

A home with this type of architectural heritage needs items of a certain weight, with a dose of gravitas to them. Otherwise it looks half baked and unconvincing.

That understanding is perfectly displayed here in the selection of lighting, the tulip table and other substantial design pieces. I really love it.

And, I'm guessing, someone might like shoes...
