A Few Of My Favourite Things

Hope everyone has had a lovely, lovely mother's day. It was a very sweet one here, with breakfast in bed and cards, and jobs around the house etc.

I should get more organised for next year though and teach my sons how to use etsy, because I was taking a look this afternoon through my faves and realised there would have been soooo many great mother's day options!

Here are just a few of my latest favourite things.

Bright Action

These stunning bursts of colour stopped me in my tracks over at Noble House Designs this week.

Would love a bit of this bright action to liven up the winter horizon. Stunning selection of colour mixes too, someone clearly has a talent.

Thanks for a super lovely week of Diversionary fun. Hope the weekend is bright!

And special thanks to...

This Morning

Sorry I'm so late today. Event full weekend so far. A lovely long day trip to the country with some mates followed by an evening of eerie quiet, smoke and flashing lights. Coming home late from the country I found that the bush across the road from the Splendour had been on fire all afternoon. Road blocks were set up, and I had to ditch the car and walk home. I found my old border collie sitting by the pool watching down the drive waiting for me. Poor old fella, must have been quite an afternoon for him. There were fire trucks driving around till late in the night and every now and then you could hear a tree fall.

So it's been a slow morning, mostly pottering around Etsy, and trying to curb the buy now impulse. Internal chant something along the lines of {{must save for new roof, must save for new roof, must save for new roof}} on loop in my brain. But I thought I'd share a few of this morning's faves. Click on the images to go to the store.

Hope you're having a less event full weekend and possibly some serious relaxation or serious fun and games - whatever takes your fancy. Super special thanks this week goes to.......

Thanks Jo!

Night Sky

Man, what a week. One of my guys is a rower, and let me tell you the 5am starts down at the river for training a couple of times a week takes its toll. I asked him this week if it was too late for a pony, but he wasn't interested.

Oh well, hopefully this weekend will provide me plenty of time purveying the night sky from the comfort of my bed.

These gorgeous charts though can bring the night sky inside any time of the day. The richness of contrast and the subtle tones are really something lovely. The giant chart in the first image would be heaven to live with, with its luminous glow.

All of these gorgeous pieces are available from Agent Gallery Chicago.

The Good Stuff

I think Gennine's Art Blog was one of the first blogs I started reading all that time ago.

Her art is just so full of the good stuff, colour and happiness. But something I really love about Gennine's blog are the little glimpses into her life.

It's beautiful there.

Frocks

I have frocks on my mind at the moment. There's a fancy shmancy awards dinner/gala ball coming up soon for work.

And as is every woman's curse, I have nothing to wear. If I wasn't watching a football game in the rain today, I'd be off shopping for a frock. But for now, these lovely 50's numbers caught my eye.

Oh how fun would it be to go back in time to an era when these darlings graced every girl's wardrobe. There's a gorgeous collection at The Vintage Studio.

Thanks to one and all for your patience and best wishes over the disconnect week. So glad to be back on track again, and looking forward to bringing you some lovely Diversions! Hope you're having a v.cool weekend.

Feeling It Too

Channeling a little caftan and turban love your way this weekend. Hope you're feeling it too.

And when it comes in the way of stretchy rich velvets, who couldn't help but feel it. These v.cool little numbers come from The Future Of Frances, go look.

Do A Girl A Favour...

...and go and buy one, or all, of these beautiful things that are haunting me on Etsy. {Click each image to take you direct to the shop} {{go on, seriously}}. With my real estate shopping outing yesterday, I fear that there will be little coin to spread about the Etsy ether in the months to come. Damn Perth real estate market!! I haven't bought anything just yet, but i think I have finally sold, so there's one part of the equation done. Just need to get my head around the seven figures required to make a purchase where I want to be.

Apologies, but have been a bit preoccupied this week to pay proper attention to who I need to thank for some love, but a quick last minute one I just noticed is from....

But of course, thanks to each and all for dropping in for a Diversion to go this week, and I hope that Blogger gets its act together soon so I can drop by and let you know I've been!

May be MIA for a few days here and there over the week ahead, three day headaches and real estate stalking are taking their toll.

Tickled

I'm tickled pink {and turquoise, and grey, and blue} to be guest posting today over at the seriously awesome blog, la la Lovely.

La La Lovely Trina has gone and had her fourth blessed child. Yep, fourth. A-mazing. The sweet little man is called Rocco - do go check them all out. Such a beautiful family!

Take A Poke

Really loving the goodies I spy at the v.cool vintage store called Lackluster Co. These pieces are just a wafer thin sliver of what's on offer. Do yourself a favour and go take a poke around.
