Absolutely Perfect

Sorry for the late start today. I'm in the land of long weekends and sleep-ins.

Seriously looking forward to a slow paced weekend pottering about the house. I wish I could report that I had big projects at hand, but nothing that exciting will be going on. Probably cleaning, most likely!

Over my leisurely coffee this morning I was trawling through some archives over at AT and found this slice of perfection. What a gorgeous home. I love the way the owners have furnished this place.

Nothing too precious, but absolutely perfect for the space. And I'm really loving that crazy paving. I think the Splendour needs a good dose of that pool side! One day.

I hope everyone has a lovely, lovely long weekend and safe travels.

Stuff In Between

Seriously in love with the furniture in this home. A mix of old and new and the best of the stuff in between.

And I really like the way the Scandinavian penchant for white on every surface was put aside in the bedroom. A bit of deep grey and aubergine drama never hurts!

Bendy Bits

I loved the feel of this LA home. Full of cool furniture, this light modernist home
looks perfect finished in white. The gallery wall of white framed B & W images is a great look.

But I think my favourite image is the Bentwood chairs. Second to my very lucky score on ebay last year, they are the loveliest bendy bits I've seen in a while.

Modernist Dream

Timber and modernist style are the perfect partners, and this place show cases both.

From the panelling to the furniture, wood is the hero of this design. Matched with over scaled art and sleek furniture this modern home relives the modernist dream.

Personality

This home has personality in spades doesn't it. Such colour, individuality and  life is very charming.

Speaking of colour, I wouldn't half mind a bright red Acapulco in my kitchen {actually I wouldn't mind having the SPACE in my kitchen for a chair - of any kind!}.

Love List

There is not one thing about this home that I don't love. But top of the love list would have to be the photography (or maybe the dining setting) (or the bed head) (the marbled lamp) (the leather sling chairs) (or the well stocked bar!).

But seriously, the photography in this place seriously reflects my wish list so well - the abandoned pools that intrigue me so much, the fun and liveliness of Muybridge, dreamy ocean scenes - all some of my faves.

I also love the calm, cool interiors. Understated glamour is defined really well in this home.
