Soft Cloud

Gorgeous houses usually make me dream of packing up and moving there immediately, but when the house is in France, and you can rent it out for holidays, the urge is even more intense!

Any place would do really, given that its in France, but when you're presented with such beauty as that bedroom which looks like sleeping in a soft cloud of linen, or that stunning kitchen, the instinct to pack a case really kicks in.

Little Red

Little red velvet, little french country casual, little architectural treasures, little industrial, little stunning ceramic tiles, little restraint....

Adds up to quite a lot actually.

Old Faithful

One great thing about taking a break is coming back for a look at what's new at some old faithful sites. Case in point, Shoot Factory. I have killed a good long while over there catching up on some new features.

I really loved the use of old architectural pieces in this London home. I may usually lean toward a more modern/boho/industrial/concrete type look usually, but I still have a little place in me that melts at grey/french country.

Done For

The open plan living space of this apartment is so close to my idea of perfect, it's not funny.

The mix of texture and modern, the scale of the room, the perfect layout and cool art really ticks boxes with me. Then add to the mix a dramatic black kitchen and I'm done for.

Bench Mark

This Parisian commercial space for the designer Balmain has all the bench mark qualities of Joseph Dirand that I showed you before (here and here).

I love his pared back approach to interiors that lets the integrity of the architecture, and the components he introduces, to really shine.
