That Impulse

Is there anything better than a home full of collected pieces and the cutest pooch? My thoughts exactly.

But seriously, what a gorgeous collection of timber pieces in this home. I sometimes wonder if I overload on timber surfaces in my place, and wonder if I should be picking up a paint brush from time to time to water down the mix. But places like this settle that impulse.

...this is the coolest image I've seen today. I'm busy here seeking out some inspiration for another week filled with Diversions and this really made me grin. Hope it does you too.

It's A Balancing Act

Boys, career and daily life have been a real balancing act lately, feel like I'm forever rushing in a million directions. You too? Must be a global affliction.

So when I saw this little guy, balancing for dear life and already one wing down, I snorted a laugh and thought ''mate, I can relate!'' Sorry to have not been a regular visitor around all of your lovely sites of late, or as much as I'd like to be anyway, but with crazy long work days and single parenting, I've learnt I have to try and preserve the one wing I have left!!

This is the cutest vintage find I've found in a long time. I mean look at that little arse and those chubby thighs!

He's hanging out at a very cool vintage shop that's been in my faves for a long time now - The White Home, which as you might have guessed specialises in vintage of the white persuasion. Lovely things to be found there, including this v.cool planter.

Weekend High Jinks

I hope your weekend is full of parties, pretty frocks, picnic-ing, camping out and all sorts of fabulous high jinks.

A big kiss to Kerry over at A Tranquil Townhouse for including The Diversion Project in her amazing wrap up of top ten pictures of the week. Fabulous idea - there are so many gobsmackingly gorgeous things around this wonderful web of ours, I loved seeing the ones that had stuck in Kerry's mind last week!

Happy Mum's Day

Huuuuge happy mum's day to all the mothers out there. Personally I think it should be mum's week...fortnight...month...

Hope the little cherubs in your life make you grin and feel special. The cherubs in this household have always been rather sweet on mothers' day, usually an errant piece of toast and a luke warm cup of tea make their way in my direction.

Although one particularly special mothers' day I got hauled out of bed around 6.00 am on the promise of a 'special surprise'. Walking into the kitchen the breakfast table was strewn with all manner of hand made cards and wonky pen holders, and in the middle of it all was a big old glass of red wine! No actual food, just wine. They thought they'd make me my favourite seeing as it was a special day and everything!

"Hhhm, wow.....Cabernet for Brekky - thanks boys that's just what I felt like".

"Yeah, that's what we thought, we know you love wine!"

Little Friends

I'm still a bit smitten with little creatures, following those amazing lights last week, so when I saw these gorgeous little things I had to show you.

They come from a charming little neck of the woods called A View To, a little Etsy atelier in Paris.

You Look Cute

When I saw this image of this little bundle of deliciousness, it made me think of esmé and her undeniable wink.

If you have no idea what I'm waffling on about, please do go here, to my mate karey's place and check out this delicious scoop of cute.

 - and, can I just say - how flipping brilliant would it be to have a drinking fountain like this in your house? My place is screaming for one.
