Fun And Games

For those who are foot jigglers, finger tappers and pen drummers here's a little diversion that got me sitting still for a while.

The New Yorker has online jigsaws of their lovely old covers. You can pick your level, pick your cover, cheat {ask for the edges to be shown} and lose yourself for a little bit of nostalgic down time, 2010 tech style.

Inspiration Is Thy Name

Apart from the fact these images are dead set gorgeous, the reason I went looking for them was because I read a lovely little interview with a chick living in Glasgow in the February edition of Red magazine {one of my new faves}.

This very clever single mum sold up digs in London, moved back to Glasgow to be near family, and along the way has set up a fabulous range of furniture and homewares. Sounds sickeningly-hard-core-over-achiever type, I know. But I think not.

Loved the read. Love the products. Nuff said.

Do take a look here for the story, and here for the fabulous range.

Happy B-Day To You

Big kudos and congrats to Inside Out for reaching their esteemed 10th Anniversary! I remember all to well reading this mag when it first came out and thinking 'finally, an Aussie mag that gets my style'.

Like most sane people out there, I ripped open the bag on my Inside Out 10th Anniversay edition with the same sort of giggling enthusiasm that I showed back when I was a mere young thing and my membership to the Adam and The Ants club arrived!
{{Although the Inside Out crew managed to make me all giggly and gushy a while back when I discovered that The Diversion Project had been added to their blog roll. Totally rocked my little round a bout}}

I tell you, this edition is a goody. One thing that has really got me interested is the Art Auction they're running with all proceeds going to the Heart Kids charity.

I've seen a few of the pieces floating around the blog world - but just so you know, any one of the pieces above has surely got my name all over it. Good luck competitors bidders - and don't forget it's for a truly deserving cause.

Style Reigns

This gorgeous house is literally oozing style. See it? Oozing all over the place.

The banner print of HRH, the pink font on the mirror, the vintage furniture treasures alone are beguiling; but mix that with a timeless classic colour treatment and it makes for a killer combination in my book.

Squishy Bits

No rhyme or reason behind these, no grand story, no poignant link to anything in particular except the rather soft spot I have for French vintage.

Actually it's more than soft, it's bordering on squishy.

Style Salon

Love this place, and love that it is a brilliant poster boy for how cool a cheap free-standing Ikea kitchen unit can be.

If I'm Going, You're Coming With Me

Car is packed to the rafters, bike carrier is on the back, and these little friends are tucked away in my bag in anticipation of some lovely reading time.

Now all I need to find, somewhere along the way, is this little baby and everything will be complete!
Have decided not to take the laptop with us this time, look forward to seeing everyone's lovely blogs when we get back.
