Finely Honed

Some people's style is such a finely honed thing, it seems effortless, natural. That's how I feel looking at this home.

The strong graphic look is so beautifully carried out throughout the whole home, it's evident that it's a second nature. I wish I had a bit more of this kind of conviction, instead of my daily struggle between every style I admire.

Cleverly Considered

This evocative home is seriously stylish. From the architectural detailing that is brilliantly restored and preserved, through to the modern elements that sit quietly in the space, everything seems cleverly considered.

I have to own up to the fact that it took me a while to recognise the kitchen. The industrial task lighting and the pared back surfaces disguise the purpose of the room. And for someone that probably values glamour more than cooking, I love that.

Fabulous Move

There are several things here that I really love. I'm rather taken with how what looks like a four poster style bed is actually a platform on which the bed stands. The dark panelled walls with the brooding art is another fabulous move, along with the skull lamp.

But the little 'take home' detail I like is the white quartz shards that are in the fire place. Sensational idea for summer.

The Tall, Dark & Silent Type

These images from Milan are drawing me in with their dark, brooding character and their lofty ceilings.

The Saarinen table, the ''too many cool chairs to mention'' and that black & white striped rug are fabulous, but my favourite detail is the gold kitchen bench. Love it more than sliced bread.
