Did You Spot This?

...Great pad over at Design*Sponge this week? I really loved this one. I particularly like the bedroom that looks so well put together and finished, and then look closer and there's an ikea hack/revamp on that bed. No idea what that piece was called, but I do recall it being very popular. Looks great painted white as it is here.

Hope you've had/are currently having a fabulous weekend, and as always thanks ever so much for dropping in this week!

Particularly big thanks to....

Long Enough

Understated cool, poured concrete floors, painted exposed brick. These three things are pretty high on my list of ''wants''.

Oh please weekend real estate market, be kind to me. Haven't I waited long enough?

Hope the weekend is kind to you too x

Really Authentic

I seriously admire this place. It is such a comfortable relaxed family home that is clearly a real reflection of the owners and not what they think they should have.

OK, well maybe the Hermes rug is a little of that, but the rest feels really authentic. No forced austerity because it suits the architraves, no blue and white because everyone here does it and it's a tried recipe.

I particularly like the old floral armchair sitting next to the white eiffel bases. Says a lot really.

Just Because.....

... I need to spend a long day somewhere like this. Today, preferably.

Ideas Actually

You know, I've never seen myself as an all white kind of girl; however, this place with its clean shots of pure colour and natural textures has me considering the idea.

It has me considering lots of ideas actually, another being the gallery wall above the desk. You know these things scare the bejeesus out of me, but I have to admit, I love this one.

Opalescent

What I wouldn't give for that display cabinet in the first image. Or this house for that matter.

{But, I really should seek help for my vintage obsession. Guess who won two cane chairs}

Love the concrete {you knew I was going to say that now didn't you!} and the natural setting. The scale of the rooms, the stunning kitchen with its opalescent tiles glimmering away, and the wake up and dive in  pool are all stuff that dreams are made of.

Wandering Through

I love a local girl doing good story, so I was chuffed to read of the rise and rise of local girl Kym Ellery in Trendland. Kym is from Perth, WA and has in the last few years scaled the fashion heights.

These looks are from her new Fall line and I had to love the title, “Tenenbaums in the Tuileries”. Doesn't get better. For a good look around at the Ellery lines and achievements, do go and take a look at her site, it's brilliant.

Hope everyone is up to their necks in fun and relaxation this weekend. Thanks for wandering through here this week, it's been a treat!

Very special thanks to this bunch of cool people this week....

Visual Creature

I am such a visual creature. I see something, there's a recognition of something that I like, and I lock in.

A tiny little image from this store got sent through to my inbox the other day and instantly I saw something I liked.

The lovely clothes and cool stylings you see come from a shop called Edna & Wilhemina. They create handmade sustainable fashion (and killer images too).

I loved seeing more, I'm sure you will too.

Little Red

Little red velvet, little french country casual, little architectural treasures, little industrial, little stunning ceramic tiles, little restraint....

Adds up to quite a lot actually.
