Paint Them

What brilliant inspiration this renovation is to an owner of a slice of 60's splendour. The miles of painted white brick and the crazy paving floors are superb. I've been toying with crazy paving in the back yard seeing as the lack of precision will suit this house no end, and I won a cool door prize at an industry event last year and need to go collect a big whack of stone/granite/marble - whatever I choose.

But the eye candy I appreciate the most is seeing the timber framed picture windows painted out in white. I'm still doing the leave them natural/paint them white battle in my mind, so any image that reminds me that all will be well, whatever I decide, is appreciated!

The Bold Shot

What a great way to fit out a modern apartment to create a warm family home.

Timber floors + cushy carpets and rugs where needed + big doses of MCM furniture and the bold shot of colour where needed.

Perfect recipe.

Supplies The Inspiration

I love seeing super cool renos of mid century homes like this. It supplies the inspiration I need when I look around the Splendour. {Especially when the rain sets in and the ceiling starts to leak!}

Loving the open vast planes of this home and the warmth the timber lined ceiling brings. That's a great move right there.

Such Abundance

Here's a quick peek at something fabulous for the end of the week. Such abundance of MCM goodness in one home is rather fetching don't you think. But then again this home doubles as a gallery. Bit like having your cake and gorging on it too.

Feeling a bit inspired to spend the weekend glued to eBay, Gumtree and Craigslist. Oh if wishing made it so.

To Suit

Back on the less = more bandwagon, this place is another stellar example. Such a minimally furnished home, but oozing with character.

And that kitchen is something else. It must be original, but what a perfect kitchen to suit its owner's taste!

Bendy Bits

I loved the feel of this LA home. Full of cool furniture, this light modernist home
looks perfect finished in white. The gallery wall of white framed B & W images is a great look.

But I think my favourite image is the Bentwood chairs. Second to my very lucky score on ebay last year, they are the loveliest bendy bits I've seen in a while.
