Every Angle

Stunning slice of property here. Gorgeous soft natural tones everywhere, and pale timber floors.

With a clever selection of lighting and a massive dose of marble, I'm loving every angle.

Something About

Even though I'm very happy with my 60's suspended slab and copper surround fireplace {{although the concrete blob stucco can go please}}, I am really noticing gorgeous classic marble fireplaces as I saunter around the ether this week.

There's something so satisfyingly symmetrical about them, not to mention the creamy cold smooth stone.

But nonetheless I'd very much like that cactus on my dining table. Now, that is something I can do something about.

More Than Twice

Maybe it's the moulding, maybe the marble fireplace, the beautiful scale of the rooms, or the v. cool furnishings....can't put my finger on it exactly, but this home made me look more than twice.

Into One

This place is supremé luxe to the power of fifty don't you think. Soft greys, silvers, and low gloss combines to create a look that encapsulates luxury.

My favourite space is that bathroom with its silvered and mirrored walls and peach marble, now that is just stunning!

I also love the panelling with its soft sheen. It stops the overall look from being overtly feminine. And what a clever use of it in the bedroom, as one continuous low panel, pulling together the bed and the bedside cupboards into one plane.

High French Style

Had to show you this...it is no secret whatsoever that Joseph Dirand is hands down my favourite designer. Look at this gorgeous creation he made for the Interiors 2010 exhibition that I've just discovered via muuuz.

This exhibition was the culmination of ten designers being asked to come up with their interpretation of High French Style.

This manifestation by Dirand is beyond my idea of sublime. There are so many details to this beautiful space that are not readily apparent in these images, it really will pay to click through on each of them for a detailed look.

Equally Stunning

Who needs the latest berber rug when you have the most gorgeous tessellated tiles in the world. Well, this lucky home owner clearly doesn't.

The intricate marble tiles are a stunning detail in this equally stunning apartment. The white paint out seems the only thing to do in this space to clearly let the floor do-it's-thing, and man how it does it.

Very impressed with the clean injection of colour in the artwork and accessories, not to mention a lovely input of something shiny by way of the arno floor lamp which seems almost made for this place.

So Saturday

So, it's Saturday, it's cold, and I'm sick. The best cure - a bit of vicarious glamour via The Coveteur.

These lovely shots were just what the doctor ordered. And excuse me, but just how stunning are those marble tiles?

Rather Taken

I do like a bit of Carrera flung around the kitchen and the bathroom, so I was rather taken with this home's utility spaces.

The frosted door on the loo in the bathroom, the bench long enough to double as a little office area, and those cool little marble shelves next to the cook top are all ideas I thought were great and filed away in the ideas file.

Mixed with some raked and vaulted ceilings, some concrete floors and some v.cool vintage in a modern shell, and there was a lot here that I admired really.
