I seriously admire this place. It is such a comfortable relaxed family home that is clearly a real reflection of the owners and not what they think they should have.
OK, well maybe the Hermes rug is a little of that, but the rest feels really authentic. No forced austerity because it suits the architraves, no blue and white because everyone here does it and it's a tried recipe.
I particularly like the old floral armchair sitting next to the white eiffel bases. Says a lot really.

I love this home, especially the living room. I do love your selections of photos. I am getting tired of seeing staged photos. To me, it has to look lived in and not like they'v stuffed things into the shot for the sake of it. This house fits the bill.
I love the narrow ladder bookcases in the living room, gorgeous. The couch looks so comfy, and love the 3 separate coffee tables.
Yep one of the first things I noticed was the Hermes rug. Wonderfully relaxed and comfy.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being completely authentic and then just throwing a Hermes rug in there to really impress those who might need impressing. I mean, that Hermes has real style -- it just compliments everything else.
Yeah I spotted that floral armchair right away, and love the fireplace.
Thanks sweetpea for your nice comment re the piece in I&P.

Love all the historic detailing combined with all the true 'personal' style...the character is real here compared to syled. Not a fan of all the staging going on at the moment...this home feels like a home and it's atmosphere is so authentically beautiful.

That's a good find; Jules - it looks like an assembly of things someone loves rather than a designer-created project.
Very nice...comfortable, soothing and I love it all. Are those tables leather?
