Had to show you this...it is no secret whatsoever that Joseph Dirand is hands down my favourite designer. Look at this gorgeous creation he made for the Interiors 2010 exhibition that I've just discovered via muuuz.
This exhibition was the culmination of ten designers being asked to come up with their interpretation of High French Style.
This manifestation by Dirand is beyond my idea of sublime. There are so many details to this beautiful space that are not readily apparent in these images, it really will pay to click through on each of them for a detailed look.

I'd not heard of his work before reading about him on this beautiful blog and I have spent many, many moments just staring at the images of his work on his website - there is something...spiritual about the way he interprets balance and proportion.
