For Savouring

I really liked this v. cool day bed idea. Is there nothing that you can't do with a pallet these days? But it does look good doesn't it. The steel pipe and flange sides are a good look. Go here for a bit of weekend DIY action.

{{But one word of advice, I would suggest some cross bracing of these babies as well as the bolt together idea shown in the how to. Or maybe even a few threaded rods through both pallets - end to end. Yeah, OK sorry, will take my work hat off now and stop directing ppl how to build!}}

Thanks all so much for savouring a Diversion or two, and big time thanks to this lovely lot.....

Familiar

I wanted to show you some of my latest faves from Streetfsn. I'm just loving this blog. Lots of people can pick pretty in a crowd, but this guy has a flipping brilliant eye for composition.

If you're not familiar with it, you really should be.

Filed. Sorted. Done.

Do you have names filed away in your brain for that when-I-make-it-big-and-have-a-killer-house-to-decorate moment? I have to admit, I do.

And Kate Hume is one of them. I seriously love her aesthetic, which seems to me to be a counterpoint of masculine cool and luxury. It's clean, edited, lots of timber and dark tones.

Filed. Sorted. Done.

A Good Dose

I'm trying to remind myself often {before moving into my new home}, that white paint never goes astray. Especially when mixed with a good dose of timber. And this place is a brilliant reminder.

You see, I've never done white. Ever. And I'm seriously thinking that it is the way to go with the new place.

The other detail I'm saving for later is the black grout and white tiles. That's really growing on me. Seems like a perfect remedy for those of us who do not like to linger in the bathroom with a can of ajax and a scrubbing brush!

Seriously Edgy

I always enjoy a bit of industrial/vintage edge in an interior, and this one is seriously edgy. So many interesting details thrown into the casual mix.

But I think the favourite detail here is that capiz curtain. Loving that, and now wondering where I can install one.

Works Everywhere

Nice mix of accents here. The mustard, the teal, the peach, the rich chocolate, the cobalt. It sounds like one of those recipes that people give you, you take one read of, and then they say "oh, but wait till you taste it".

It just happens to work. And as for the gorgeous Togo, that works everywhere.

An Indicator

The laid back relaxed nature of this place is just beautiful. Everything gels so perfectly. The casual timber, the textiles and the ceramics all add up to make this cool pad a wonderful home.

Nothing here I didn't like. Always an indicator that it needs to be shared.
