With new real estate purchases and astronomical mortgages on my mind, I'm loving stylish and oh so clever DIY projects at the mo. Some DIY makes me wonder, well, why?
But then little treasures like this one come along and I think, bloody brilliant! This broken down table had the top salvaged and stuck on a set of legs from IKEA. Always a fan of vintage timber meets clean steel, and this is a really great example. Very tempted to go and just buy a set of these legs and tuck them away somewhere for a rainy day.

SO clever! I want this!! Bookmarking!
Love it! I've been trying to build a table like this for about 2 years but the legs always cause me the problem. I see Sarah Richardson buying them on TV a lot but don't see them on Ikea online... road trip!
fab fab fab! have been here for awhile so missed the announcement but congrats on the new digs!
How simple and cool is that? LLUVIT!
That is a lovely table! Have a fabulous day, Kellie xx
I love this DIY - so simple and would work with a number of structural pieces. Fun.
Happy weekend hugs from Sydney.

Perfect reclamation of lovely old wood, much better for metal legs.
What a great idea! I love the worn old wood paired with the sleek metal support.
Love the juxtiposition of old and new! I would also like to do this in a coffee table with an old table-top and a set of modern metal legs. The legs are more difficult to come by here where I live but I'll keep on searching! Thanks for the inspiration!
Simple and so gorgeous.
Looks great and so simple!! Those IKEA legs are great!
