Too Darling

Do you ever think about what a solitary life would be like? I sometimes wonder what kind of place I'd live in if I didn't have my two darling boys and a dog.

This place looked rather appealing. I could seriously imagine having friends over for tea, a quiet movie night, or a slow roll out of bed in the morning and straight to the coffee pot (in the calmness of your quiet abode) in less than 20 paces.

Perhaps it's the start of school holidays that's brought this on, give me a day or two to shake off the "how do teachers do it??!!!" and "why did I think I should take some leave from work" syndrome and I'll be back to palatial family homes in no time : )

This place is really beautiful. I think it would be perfect for me and my cats, with one exception -- there's no giant dining room for my dinner parties. In many ways, I think a solitary life is nice, but it's so much nicer to come home to loved ones every night.

Gorgeous apartment. I love the nest set of tables. Yes I wistfully recall my single days in my one bedroom flat and it's all of those wonderful things. Glad I had that experience, but as Brandi says coming home to a family is priceless.

Wouldn't swap my big, raucous family for anything, but that place would be perfect for a nice little holiday to recharge the batteries - maybe that's where you could spend your holiday and let the kids run riot at home? Go on, you know you want to. K xx

Despite the fact that the 22 year old is 'temporarily' in residence I do quite like my 'solitary' life. And yes, it's about 20 paces to the coffee pot, give or take :)

I think it's the quiet that most appeals :) I sometimes dream about it, as well, but then one of the darlings gives me a hug and looks and me with such love that it melts my heart... I'd rather have them and the tylenol - x Hope you have a good holiday!

As much as I enjoy married life, I do miss living alone and having my own space. Happy to have had it. Happy to have moved on.

This place is amazing and you are too funny! Kids are great but they are a lot to handle for sure. Sounds like you need a girls weekend away...xo
