Simple Honest

They say there's nothing like them. The 'Great Outdoors'.

And this home has it mastered. The visual links between indoors and out are like brilliant masterpieces on a gallery wall, framed by simple clean timber window frames. The way it curves into the landscape is just beautiful.

I really like the simple honest materials too, the timber lining, the formed concrete panels, and the polished floor. But the detail I love the most is the corten steel firewood storage bays out on the deck. Simple, rustic but very stylish.

The way the structure gently snuggles around the fabulous tree trunks aint half bad either. Very peaceful house.

That is stunning. I would LOVE to have a week-long break in that house. I am particularly fond of the concrete flooring...

Beautiful! The whole place is so serene and feels calm to the eye. I'm not usually one for such a neutral palate but it works here because it relates so well to the oudoors. Yes, I'd happily live there!!

Loving the sense of length created by the verandahs. Also the use of wood inside definitely brings the outdoors in albeit with a sense of polished perfection

Oh my goodness, Jules, where do you find these incredbile homes?? This one would get me away from the beach and into the woods for awhile and that says a lot.
