I have to admit, I'm generally not that excited by cushions. I mean, I get them, I can see how you can add a whole layer to a room with them, but still I usually just kind of think "yep, OK".
But I really liked these blue and red ones above. I'm quite taken by the blue + red combo.

Ironically, I never noticed the cushions until I came to your words...I was focused on all the great lighting/lamps!
Hi Jules, love your blog I am now your newest follower, I also have a new blog so please visit, I hope to inspire you and many others. I too love shiny objects and I'll have to post some shiny cushion images that'll have you soon loving them[the shiny one's anyway] Great blog!!!
I'm a bit partial to a nice red and blue combo too Jules, and I must admit, I totally get the whole cushion thing. Easiest way to zhush up a room in a flash! K xx
Jules, I totally understand what you're saying - I've only just started getting into the cushion caper...

Ps: I am hosting a beautiful pillows GIVEAWAY later today, just in time for Christmas.
I love cushions, as they inject a wonderful new dimension to a room and you can have so much fun with the, not to mention the cozy factor
Cushions are one of those finishing touches that I feel slightly incapable of figuring out. But I like these -- they definitely add that little extra color.
Love blue and red- I did a post about that combo last month and really enjoy the two together. Adore the first picture with the Saarinen table and great artwork.
I din't notice the cushions either until you mentioned them. Also love the first picture - what great light fixtures.
ooh...ooh...and those light fixtures...just gorgeous! I hope you have a fantastic end to your week my friend! :)

Yes these cushions are showing a respectful restraint I think! Interesting lighting in #1.
I LOVE the Random Pendant light in the bathroom. Such a cool idea!
