Water Down The Mix

This place could very easily have lost me. Kartell and Starck should use this place for advertising. And too much of a good thing can sometimes leave you with a killer headache and the urge to throw up on your desk, as we all know. {God, I hope we all know that and I'm not hanging out here by myself}

However, the wall mural in the bedroom and the Rococco chair watered down the mix enough to win this pad my vote to stay on the island.

Let me think, you gravitate towards hardwood floors... Hmmm.. And you have quite a bit of viking blood as part of you DNA!

And I love it!

For an interior that is verging on OTT, I'm strangely drawn to it!

It can stay, particularly the black chair and the giant mirror. Chair because, uh, it's BLACK! I didn't know you worked in landscape architecture, that sounds fascinating! XO!

I love the second last image so much!

It featured on my blog with a similarly styled image by Elisabeth Aarhus (http://makingitmystyle.blogspot.com/2010/06/black-white-gold-and-mirrors.html).

I am definitely buying the black Ferm Living 'World Map' wall decal for my home office.

a black and white palette needs to be tempered with wood and, i think, something less than perfect. perhaps some sign of life....a feel for those that live in the space

that said, black white and wood is my bestest everest look - i just like it a little beat-up, softened, aged, a mechiche/tarlow/carter/o'brien combo. i wish!
