So Close

The beautiful timber throughout this home adds such warmth and integrity. It's been cleverly balanced out here by the painted ceiling features.

The feel of the home though says "exotic holiday destination'', and right now, staring down the barrel of Christmas holidays that are so close yet so far away - this is so my language.

The different woods in the kitchen are divine! I never understood how you could combine different kinds and stains of wood when I was younger -- I thought everything had to be uniform. But now I've totally fallen for the look and the "collected" feel it creates.

Yep that ceiling really does make that home - funny how such a simple thing can have such a huge impact.
