Art Of Mastering

The way this home walks the tight rope between classic and modern is just stunning. It's a struggle I constantly have, between wanting a gorgeous old home with panelling and classic architectural goodies, and my deep-seated love of modern contemporary.

I think they call the art of mastering that struggle, "cake and eating it''. One day.

Wow that is one beautiful house that gets the balance exquisitely. I also like the idea of 2 houses - but for me the other way about - modernist weekender and more intimate weekday abode...bliss!

I'm in love with image 04 as well as the last one -- just beautiful... that kitchen looks so clean and inviting, but warm... and that last room, well, need I say anything!?

Hope you had a wonderful weekend, xoxo

p.s thank you for such lovely comments this week -- a comment from you makes my entire day

This home certainly does hit the perfect balance. The Cow Parsley wallpaper is sooooo gorgeous!

It's one of the most wonderful places you've ever posted. The bedroom and its entry to the bathroom are utterly perfect. I sometimes look at your posts and think to myself 'Jules' tastes are more sophisticated than mine' - well this one makes me want to sophisticate myself straight away.

They are all so restrained.

Like that crazy pendant light in the first few pics.
