Those are beautiful! One of my best friends is from Tokyo and on her 18th birthday (ages ago..hahah) she got a stunning kimono...I remember being a part of the traditional celebration and how amazing that kimono looked...Its truly a form of art!

I love kimono, and was lucky enough to have lived in Japan many years ago for a year, where I was given the most amazing kimono for a man. We usually associate them with women, however men wear them as well. Even though plain in colour it is made of the most beautiful silk/wool blend!

These are beautiful. In a way they remind me of some of Gerhard Richter's work, especially his Betty painting, which I love too.

I have two Kimonos, one wedding one and one very similar to the first here...from memory, been packed away for some time :(
