Glam Is Good

So now, for my Gordon Gekko moment, I'm here to espouse that Glam is Good! And in my mind it doesn't get much better than this place.

It helps naturally to have the framework of an amazing building, but it takes quite a bit of style still to get it right. There are plenty of god awful McMansions that attest to that.

There is only one thing I'm not particularly fond of (apart from the fact that every self respecting stylist should automatically remove tea towels from oven doors), and that is the chocolate brown in the bedroom. But to switch to black would only take one coat, so it's no deal breaker by any means. Plus there is a well stocked drinks tray, so bonus round points there.

My favourite detail though is in the last image. The collection of B+W photos that are framed with mirrored back boards. Mixed with a simple thin black frame, it looks sensational.

Images from here.

I completely agree about the black wall! Black bedroom wall owners unite! I love the birds lined up on the window sill and the art in the kitchen...now if the teatowel matched the art..maybe it would be allowed to stay??

I'm with Kerry re: the birds and the Arc de Triomphe is a beauty! Me thinks the bursts of colour in almost each photo is the essential element tho.
Thanks for sharing the glam...

I do like a touch of glam, so this hit the spot. The chandeliers and fabric of the curtains are great and loved the b&w too. Some interesting touches around the place.

ps so right about losing the brown wall.
