Lived In And Loved

I love it when a home doesn't lose its lived in appeal in photos. That's something that really draws me to all the before+afters and home reader type coverage that is out there.

Sure, this place hasn't got baskets of laundry sitting around, but you can imagine someone living here daily and loving the home they've created. Cool stuff.

babe. you have found IT. that bedroom is bliss, I tell you. that 'punch of color' lamp and the large art piece. heaven if I have ever seen it. this entire place is a dream. so lived in, you are right, but so stylish and charming. so totally REAL. i kinda yearn for that....

I totally agree - can't stand overly styled rooms that appear as though no one has ever sat on the chairs & messed up the cushions. k

I think what makes rooms like these 'live' is because they're filled with items that have lived - reclaimed drawers and reupholstered furniture, when done so, respectively, exude the same kind of elegance as a beautiful woman ageing gracefully.

I love the bedroom with the yellow lamp - that is an inspired play with scale.

Totally agree. It's so much more realistic. Perfection is overrated anyway :)

I enjoy a lived in space. I think all of our eyes are spoiled by these "styled" rooms. It makes reality seem not perfect enough!
