Mildly Thrilling

Have to admit, I've never lived in a white house, but I feel quite sure that one day I'll get there. When I mature.

I love places that on the surface look to be treading a safe path, but when you stop to look closely, there's a lot of lovely little things going on. Little things that shake up what seems {on paper} to be a quiet little home, more than a bowl full of keys at a cocktail party.

What do you see that tickles your fancy?

"more than a bowl full of keys" you wag! I must admit this got me excited, the last especially.

Cheers!

Mmm, beautiful Jules. Lots of white, little pops of red, throw in a few vintage pieces, a bit of marble and modern in the kitchen, and it's pretty perfect as far as I'm concerned. K xx

Ah, the cleanliness of a white house. Maybe its just a house and not a home because it is so perfect!

Beautiful pictures! I love the LOVE pillow! and I think those are teddy bears on the last chair!

Hi J, beautiful post.. I love how there are so many different 'shades' of white, yet they all blend so perfectly! My favourite thing would have to be the kitchen/dining room ceilings...

How funny WOULD a bowl full of keys be at a cocktail party...for a gag! HA! Now completely obsessed with this whole house, especially the bathroom art work!

Oh, my fancy is tickled by the kitchen, bathroom and the desk area with the giant W. I love those light fixtures in the kitchen. There is a ceiling full of those in a fab restaurant in Melbourne, called Little Creatures. I would love to have a set!! I'm with The Zhush on the artwork in bathroom - fantastic.
Lovely post! Have a great weekend.

Such lovely and calming spaces here! I really enjoy the kitchen -- it's so vast and inviting...a great place to gather, eat and talk...also, that built-in bed looks so cozy. A little nest, really :)

Thank you, also, so much for stopping by my blog -- I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

ok loved your quiet white post the other day but it was pretty much the "usual" - the giant blue delphinium totally making it all....but this one!

love the horizontal "panelling". it looks like an english house that has been given the cape cod treatment. and the kitchen with its fitted cupboards that look so formal but totally relaxed by all the white. and that DRESSER WITH ALL THE JUGS AND COOKBOOKS IN IT! MY DREAM!

yes. this one with what looks like a mary fedden painting next to those stairs....i could never live there (ice cream, ketchup, cat hair, tomato soup...) but i can DREAM!

have a great wkend Jules!

oh that kitchen! but you know, every time I buy something white for the house I regret it terribly. It looks so perfect when it is new but. . .ahhhhhh if only dirt could be annihilated! :)
