What a joy this house is. So often beach houses stick to a very prescribed look. Bleached timbers, stripes, and light colour palettes. And why not, it is a perfectly gorgeous look.
But at last, here is a fabulous example that the safest look need not be the only one that works. Here they've applied a more urban approach, and isn't it a killer look. Still lots of natural elements of timber and found treasures {{seriously, how good does that collection of brush wood look}}, but all dressed up in a dark mix of black paint, shadowy corners and a touch of velvet. Loving it.

That's quite the beach house! Love the purple bits. Very different from any beach house I've ever photographed, that's for sure.
Fresh and excellent approach....love the change!

The wide-openess of it is soothing. But those limbs are wicked. Love the drama.
Oh how I love this post - I am in awe of the purple sofa cushions and the photo of the girl in the background - perfection!! I have just stumbled over your blog, and have lost an hour in here already - wow I am following you;) Have a look at my blog, and if you like it, maybe you will too;)

I'm not feeling the graffiti art, but I do love that deck/kitchen
