Jewel In The Desert

How is this for a jewel in the desert?

This modern home has a touch of old style glamour, well more than a touch. I love the concrete block work around the perimeter of the pool deck, which is cleverly tucked under the eaves of the house.

But the slightly harder to miss glamour, the mega-watt gold shimmer, is something else isn't it. Reminds me of a pair of gold aviators.

This is amazing, you feel you'd have to walk around all day in long slinky dresses and strings of pearls! I've never seen such an openly luxurious modern house

Jules, you have the BEST spaces! Like being inside a jewelry box, full of sleek gold bangles, pearls and sparkle - so, so gorgeous. I would not expect this home in this setting, what a wonderful contrast.

The whole place glows -- that's so incredible! I was actually shocked to see the last photograph. I just expected it to be in a desert or someplace that would lend it those warm colors.

You can just imagine what it's like to be standing inside there, right? Like King of the freaking world! Amazing. Buildings like this tend to reveal themselves in very surprising ways depending on where the sun is sitting. Oh, but watching the sun set as the light drags itself down to bed must be a sight for sore eyes... Take me there!

What incredible architecture—I actually had to look over these images twice. The spaces and their relation to the exterior and all the pieces inside are wonderful. Such a unique place! You always find such fascinating things to share... I need a "The Diversion Project" folder for all of my most favorites :)

Hope you have a great weekend,
xoxo
