Stand Their Ground

Loved the drama in these images. Old campaign style mirrors, french chandeliers and heavy drapes are a few little touches that caught my eye.

But what I particularly liked the most was the benevolent way that industrial pieces stand their ground right next to the heavy weights. The steel cabinets and desk add a bit of contrast to the classic pieces in this home and prevent it from being too serious.

I agree Jules, the industrial accents look tough (and great) amongst the traditional atyling. What a great bedroom with those curtains that would make you want to wrap yourself in them!

Yes, it's lovely, one of those striking places that looks curated rather than merely arranged. The bird in the first image is a perfect touch.

Those drapes made me start dreaming. Wow. I wish there was a bigger word than that!

The old clock face on the wall reminds me of how badly I wanted to live in a clock tower. Not all the time but I thought it'd be fun to have a library/study up in one, overlooking the city. And that bed! I love the pillows and covering so.

Gorgeous all, a few of my favorite vignettes here -- especially the first image and yummy twirled drapes in the second.
I adore a touch of horn mount thrown in for good measure too.

The mirrors and chandeliers are incredible and yes there are so many elements that make this place amazing. Great post!

That's exactly right! The industrial pieces do contrast beautifully with the more classic pieces because they're all majestic in their own right. Each one tells a story and together it's a masterpiece! Love it.

What a uniquely beautiful home. I love the bathroom with the leather armchair. And the living room with the fireplace - a place I would enjoy relaxing in.
